Mario Party DS

Mario Party DS- Cover

We all remember the classic Mario Party games for the N64, Gamecube, and now the Wii. About a month ago advertisements began to spring up in gaming magazines for Mario Party DS. I don’t know about you guys but, I was looking forward to this game. It was released on November 19, 2007 in the US and I got my hands on it a few days ago. Sure enough, as soon as I turned it on, it was like a blast from the past! Mario was springing into action with the rest of the gang in a miniature version of the previous Mario Party games.

I was instantly hooked on the easy, fun, and addictive game-play during party mode. Features like DS download play allow other people to play with you in both party mode and mini-game mode even if they don’t have the game card. Mini-games often use the touch screen and microphone to add to the laughter while playing with friends. If you liked playing Mario Kart DS with your buddies then I would recommend getting Mario Part DS!

It seems Ashido was simply testing Rukia’s strength. The Menos at this point are blasting their Cero all over the place and the team decide to retreat. They settle on finding the location of Nel and rescuing them. When Rukia and Ashido reach the battle location of Ichigo and the others, they’re already gone. They encounter an Adjuchas, one who is stronger than a Menos but not as strong as an Arrancar, a second grade Menos. After being attacked by Ashido, he summons Gillian, and orders them to fire their Cero. Ashido quickly slices him him and all the Menos in half in one shot. They continue to look for Ichigo and their group. Ashido reveals his face and he explains how he has been there for over hundreds of years simply because as a Shinigami, it is his duty to prevent Hollow from entering the real world. Rukia is disheartened as she must admit to Ashido that the number of appearances of hollow have not decreased at all regardless of his efforts. Right before the end of the episode, Ashido and Rukia are ambushed by the group of Adjuchas.

Even though this is more than a week late, I’m doing this simply for archiving purposes.

So, Ichigo and the reunited crew have reencountered Lunuganga as of the ending of the last episode. Nel explains that there are multiple bodies of Lunuganga as he is made of sand. After Rukia foolishly stabs the creature on which they’re riding upon, they’re all devoured by the sand and fall for quite a while until all of them fall upon Ichigo. They have fallen into what is called the “Menos Forest”. What’s odd is, they don’t realize Rukia’s missing until 3 minutes after they fall in. Unfortunately, Rukia is the first to encounter the massive amounts of Hollow. Her luck just keeps getting worse when she finally evades all the Hollow but then encounters Menos Grande. They decide to use Cero on Rukia until an unexpected visitor appears and rescues her.

Rukia is lead to the visitor’s hideout. He reveals his name as Ashido and begins attacking Rukia. Over where Ichigo’s hanging around, they have all encountered Hollow as well. Nel and her friends are all captured while Ichigo, Chad, and Ishida are all left with an increasing amount of Hollow and Menos Grande.

Sorry for the lack of updates, recently my teachers have been all craming in their tests at the last minute right before Thanksgiving break. School officially ends on Tuesday of next week, so until then, I probably won’t be able to post anything else. Anyways, here’s a look at the Zelda Feather Stylus that arrived in my mailbox today! Keep reading for pictures.

These pictures were taking using my SLVR L9, so sorry for the quality.

Today, November 16th, is our favorite Nintendo game designer Shigeru Miyamoto’s Birthday! Whether he’s designing another Zelda game or amazed at the success of recently released Super Mario Galaxy, he’s THE man. He turns 55 as of today, and here’s to another great year of gaming. Let’s all wish him a Happy Birthday!

Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core Potion Limited Edition

Crisis Core Potion Limited Edition

So… Just recently did a search on Final Fantasy VII and found a very interesting item for sale. When I first saw it my jaw dropped and my eyes popped out of my head. In one of the previous articles you saw the 10th anniversary potion beverages, but what you didn’t see was the limited edition potion (very limited edition with only 77,777 made). I’m sure the drink is excellent, but you just can’t help admiring the design and thought put into the limited edition vial. The drink itself is grape flavored, but who would use it only once?

Price: ¥3,980 (US $33)
It can be found on various shopping websites such as eBay for $30 and higher. It includes the potion, a nice box, and booklet to go with it. You have to think about it though… $30 dollars is a small price to pay for something that is priceless!

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker

Joker cover

Proudly presenting my first game review (and hopefully not my last!) on the recently released Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker. Yesterday, after stopping by at gamestop, I picked it up for $39.99 and was anxious to test it out. My first impression of the game was… nothing short of amazing! Square Enix pulls through with another great game that resembles the same type of battle tactics as the Final Fantasy games. The game idea derived from Dragon Quest V, where players had the cability to befriend monsters. Some monsters only appear during the day while others appear during the night adding to the variety of monsters you can befriend. After getting into the game a little your able to synthesize monsters above level 10 to make more powerful ones.

Bosses and temples prove to be challenging, but not overly frustrating. The graphics (which are actually really good for the DS), sound, gameplay, and storyline are excellent. This game is a must have in your arsenal of DS games!
